Leon Crous
14/08/1960 - 6/08/2006

Hell Razors Cape Town certainly know the undescribed pain in loosing a fellow biker, friend & brother. Hell Razors know what it is to stand to an open grave, and walk the last walk with a brother that ride side by side yesterday, share silly jokes over a couple of beers & and share life's most presious moments. Those Hell Razors will always ride the sky whereever the road takes us, where ever wheels are turning, rubber burning, and chains spinning, they will look upon us. As we as Hell Razors remember them, this space is for you our dearest brothers in biking.

Leon was riding with members of the club and was en route to Guzzlers in Table View for a cup of coffee to round off the evening when his bike was savagely tail-ended by a motorist. The accident occurred at approximately 23h30 on Sunday, August 6th. It is believed that death was instantaneous and that Leon did not suffer.

An institution in the Cape Town biking community, Leon was known, loved and respected by all. Leon proudly wore the coveted leather colours awarded only to members to achieve the senior rank in the Hell Razors MCC.

Under Leon’s presidency our chapter has prospered, which is due in no short measure to his leadership, compassion and welcoming personality. His words of wisdom and encouragement were particularly important to new members, for whom he always had particular concern. Tragically, and ironically, Leon was always warning members to “watch out for other guys on the road”, particularly late at night.

Our thoughts, love and prayers go out to Leon’s family: his wife Tracy, and daughters Ashlea and Mia.

“Leon, we will look after one another, as you always asked, we will use your words of wisdom, as you always advised, and we will live life to the fullest, like you always did! Ride the sky Leon, you will always be our President, the leader we all look up to.”

Ride on in peace, brother Leon. Until we meet again
